services include:

Providing
professional
training and
counseling that
reflects
contemporary
business knowledge
and skills to
perspective and
existing small
businesses.

Develop partnerships
with economic
development offices,
CSBDC, local
colleges and
universities,
Chambers of
Commerce, banks and
local lenders and
other business
related
organizations that
share our mission.

will create a local
presence as a
leading resource for
the small business
owner and promote
our services and
expertise.
Candidates for
membership must have:
-
Experience in
management,
administration,
ownership or
professional
business experience.

Knowledge of current
business practice
-
Ability to
communicate,
motivate, inspire
and mentor a diverse
client base.

All members must
agree to participate
in Chapter
committees,
operations and
programs.
-
Complete forms
necessary in the
period of time
required for
recording all
counseling and
follow up sessions
-
Have basic computer
skills
A 90 day counselor
training program
training will include:
-
SCORE Code of Ethics
-
Reading and
understanding the
contents of the
Membership Handbook
-
Understanding
business plans,
financial management
and marketing
strategies.
Score Member Activity
Guidelines
The SCORE Association
has established the
following suggested
guidelines for
maintaining membership
in SCORE.
-
Contribute a minimum
of 100 hours
per year spent on
counseling, workshop
participation,
training, chapter
meetings
and performing administrative and
committee
duties.

Attend at least 50%
of all chapter
meetings
-
Participate in
Chapter Administrative,
Operational
activities, workshops
or outside score
activities.
All SCORE Counselors
must complete the
Counselor Profile,
read and sign the "
SCORE Code of Ethics
and Conduct" and the
Membership
Guidelines. These
are to be reviewed
annually at the
start of the Fiscal
Year.
Serve on at least
one Chapter
committee per year.
Attend a minimum
of one Chapter
workshop or outside
Business training
program per year.
We must all work
together as a team.
All expenditures and
decisions must be
discussed with the
Chapter Chair as
required by by-laws.
